Atheistic Double Standard
I had a "conversation" with an atheist this morning and came to the realization about something that was said. I reposted the "Air doesn't Exist" post in fun, just because it reminds me of the atheists poking fun at Christians because we believe in God, even though we can't see Him. Faith, right? Now, I won't say this atheist's name, because it curses God, but I will say that this conversation revealed to me that there is a double-standard with atheists. They can ridicule and poke fun at Christians, but we can't have a little fun at their expense. When I asked him why that was, he couldn't answer me.
But I also realized that Christians ARE held to a higher standard, so if I offended anybody with that repost, I am sorry. I now realize that having fun with atheists is not going to happen, feelings get hurt much too easily. However, I also know that they will keep poking fun at we Christians, which even though that isn't ok, it isn't going to stop. Ah well.......the old double-standard, right?

On the nose mrmacq. My point was DebbieA’s double standard in regards to Willdo and her allowing his insulting posts yet deleting anything she perceives as insult by an atheist. I was not unable to answer her question; I choose not to allow her to change the subject which was of course her hypocrisy.

No I don’t believe that “having fun” is even remotely possible with those who think themselves superior to God and His followers. I believe that they will be laughing all the way to their earned destination (to put it nicely). I have also seen the double standards that every atheist I have ever communicated with seems to follow. They want to show blatant disrespect, blatant profanity, and blatant stupidity BUT, they expect anyone who calls themself “Christian” to be “loving”, “patient” and completely weak. I guess it all just goes with the atheism mentality. It is the reason that I block them and I will not applogize for curbing their tirades on my blog. If they want to create their own blogs, they are free to do so. If they want to spew their lies, half-truths, and misrepresentations on THEIR blogs, I have no problem with that. If they think that they are going to come to my house and get away with that nonsense, they are sadly mistaken. I have never posted anything that is not absolutely true and never will.

I’m sorry but, I don’t see the humor in seeing people perish by their own choice. I don’t see humor in seeing people who are blind because they choose to be. I don’t see the humor in seeing the people earn eternal punishment because they think themselves better than God Almighty. knowledge is power! don’t be a follower, pave your own path! i was raised catholic but there were so many inconsistencies then i did all my own research, took religion classes in college, and finally came to my conclusion. you have to figure things out on your own to find happiness :-)

if you believe so much in your God then why are you so hostile towards others? you should just accept that people have “free will” to believe whatever they want. you shouldn’t actively try to change anyone unless they come to you for change. isn’t that the way of your lord? to accept others and be kind? at least that’s what my understanding of it was??

well i am an atheist and i found it offensive how you lump all of us together as being hostile. i personally could care less what you believe in and it doesn’t effect my daily life, and you should act in the same way. just skimming through your posts reveals that you put your religious views on a pedestal and think that you’re better than everyone else. you can’t objectively answer questions and get very defensive, thinking everyone is attacking you. instead of putting down the atheists that bother you, why don’t you share the love for your lord with other believers? i have no issue if you block users who attack your blog, but if you want them to be open minded, you have to be open minded too… please realize that just because some of us don’t believe the same thing as you, doesn’t mean we are bad people. i am a hard worker, a contributing tax payer, i donate my time/money to various charities, i recycle, i am an animal lover, i am a great friend/family member to people of various backgrounds, and i have excellent morals/manners. we are all on this Earth, sharing it toghether, so have respect for other people.
